NOTE: The 黑料吃瓜网 has released the following statement attributable to IEA President Kathi Griffin in support of educators across the state advocating for their students鈥� rights to quality public education:
鈥淲e want to turn Illinois #RedForEd on Wednesday for our members who are on strike in Mendota and for our members in Addison who could go on strike Thurs., Oct. 24. And, we want to send a message of support to our brothers and sisters of the CTU in Chicago by wearing red, as well. To all of you: we鈥檙e with you. You have the strength of the IEA behind you. We are proud that our educators are fighting for the schools their students deserve. We support our members using their collective voice to advocate for their students鈥� rights to quality public education.鈥�
